do not text me saying your boyfriend broke up with you. i will not answer. do not call me in an effort to reach out. i will not answer. if you decide to call first without a heads up that something terrible has happened, i will applaud you because now you have trapped me. i'll offer a few "i'm sorry"s, and one "that's terrible" as you talk to me, but i am scrolling on instagram. i don't say this in a condescending way, this is unfortunately who i am. i don't know how to change it.
if anyone were to read this and think: "what about you? what if you're the one suffering?". well, that's a valid question, but i believe i was built to suffer in silence. i don't need anyone's help because i always find a way out of a hole. the last thing i ever want to do in a situation i'm to put up with: is ask for help.
